An Adventure-Action video game is a game where the gameplay is based on interactions in real time et where the player's abilities and reflexes are very importants. Most Action-Adventure games are played in the 3rd person (the character controlled by the player is visible on-screen).

Max Payne 1 is particularly excellent, as for Max Payne 2, it is a very good game even if it is a little bit less good and shorter (in hours played). In Max Payne 2, the end is also different if you choose to play in Maximum difficulty. As for Max Payne 3, it is a good game with a good gameplay but it is not a classic video game.
	Mafia Mafia tells the story of Tommy Angelo, a taxi drive who ends up to become member of the Italian mafia in the 1930s. This game has an excellent 1930 atmosphere (Outfits, cars and others objects from this period, and excellent graphics, ...)and a magnificient "noir" scenario. The second epidode of the serie, Mafia 2 is a good game but not a classic video game.
	Outcast Outcas is a classic video game on PC which has a futuristic atmosphere, an excellent game design and a truly excellent scenario. The maps are also very wide and many hours are necessary to finish the game. With patches, it is also possible to play Outcast in high resolution.
	Beyond Good and Evil Beyond Good an Evil is a very good action-adventure video game with a good scenario. The characters are interesting and the world of Beyond Good and Evil is very poetic. in Beyond and Evil, the player controls the journalist Jade who try, with the help of his uncle (a pig named Pey'j ;) who is behind the DomZ's attacks, a mysterious alien race which is inviding the Hyllis Planet.
